Summer 2006, Jolieba traveled to Senegal where she spent 2 months dancing with Senegalese company Jant-Bi (Director, Germaine Acogny). She studied in Dakar & Toubab Jalaow, and taught Capoeira on Goree Island.

Summer 2007, Jolieba traveled to Salvador, Brazil where she spent 1 month dancing, playing Capoeira, and learning Brazilian culture.
